THE VET

I knew it was coming. I saw Auntie Emily come in the house with that carrier and hissed immediately. But then it sat there for a few days. I thought she was just leaving it for storage. Next thing i know, Mom throws my blue mousie in there, I run in and Im trapped behind bars. Damn... I let out one mournful meow and laid down to await the inevitable. The last time I went to that place I came back missing a few important body parts if you know what I mean. It was pretty painless this time, although why that doctor felt the need to swab my ears I'll never know. I made it back with my body intact and bit Mom extra hard for putting me through that.

Balancing Act

I sauntered downstairs today to find Mom doing her Yoga. I love a little challenge so I decided now was the time to try and be affectionate. I could tell she was trying to ignore me as I rubbed around her ankles. Okay time to kick it up a notch, I threw in a little meow, which I only bring out for certain special occasions. She still wasn't paying any attention to me. Well, I knew I was going to really have to make my presence known. Do you know how hard it is to jump on someone when they are in the Needle Position? Much to Mom's surprise I easily achieved this feat. She finally fell over and started petting me. But I was no longer interested. I had gotten what I wanted so with a flick of my tail in her face I ran back up the stairs and left her to her "cat series 3".
